WASHINGTON (March 2, 2025) – Howard University women's golf team is traveling to Gainesville, Fla., to host the Lady Bison Intercollegiate. The two-day (March 3-4), three-round tournament will occur at The Hawkstone Country Club (6,505 yards, par-71) on The Haile Plantation Course.
The opening rounds will be a shotgun start Monday (March 3) at 8 a.m., followed by the second round that afternoon. The last 18 holes will tee off Tuesday (March 4) at 8 a.m.

HISTORY
Last year, the Lady Bison Intercollegiate was also held at The Hawkstone Country Club in Gainesville, Fla. Howard finished second overall with three Bison in the top 10.
TOURNAMENT PREVIEW
The Hawkstone Country Club is a private golf course located in Gainesville, Fla. In 1993, the golf course was designed by Gary Player. The 18-hole course is 6,505 yards, par-71 with a 130 slope. Surrounded by majestic live oaks, wild plum and dogwood trees, this course is rated at 71.5.
This year's tournament participants include Howard, Alabama State University, Bethune-Cookman University, College of the Holy Cross, Monmouth University, North Carolina Central University, Queens University of Charlotte, Saint Francis University, University of Maryland Eastern Shore and Youngstown State University.
LAST TIMEOUT
On Feb. 23-24, the team finished first at the Arcis HBCU Championship, which was held at The Club at Weston Hills in Weston, Fla.
Junior
Morgan Horrell (Dallas) led the Bison, finishing second overall while shooting 10-over par (190).
UPCOMING SCHEDULE
The women's team is set to travel to New Orleans for the Tulane Classic, presented by Chad Bronstein (March 9-11).
