AUSTIN, Texas (March 18, 2025) – Howard University women's golf team placed 14
th overall in the annual Betsy Rawls Invitational, hosted by the No. 7 Texas (UT) Longhorns. The two-day (March 17-18), 54-hole event took place at the UT Golf Club (par-72, 6,473 yards) in Austin, Texas.
Collectively, the Bison shot 130-over par (994).
Sophomore
Paris Fieldings (Chesapeake, Va.) led the Bison, shooting 24-over par (240) while tying for 50
th overall.
Third-year Bison
Marley Franklin (Los Angeles) tied for 64
th on the player leaderboard, firing 30-over par (246) in three rounds of action.
Fellow classmate
Morgan Horrell (Dallas) posted a 253 (+37), finishing 72
nd place.
Texas won the 2025 Betsy Rawls Invite, registering 16-over par (304). No. 13 LSU earned second after shooting 322 (+34).
Individually, Texas' No. 17 Lauren Kim won the tournament with a 1-over par (217) performance. Fellow Longhorn No. 47 Cindy Hsu and Tennessee's Kyra Van Kan finished runner-up, firing 2-over par (218).
On March 30-April 2, HU returns to the Lone Star State where they will take part in the Women in Golf National Collegiate.
