New Orleans (March 11, 2025) — The Howard University women's golf team finished the Tulane Classic fifth overall. The three day (March 9-11), 54-hole tournament was hosted by the Green Waves at the English Turn Golf & Country Club (6,280 yards, par-72).
Sophomore
Paris Fieldings (Chesapeake, Va.) and senior
Kendall Jackson (Pearland, Texas) finished in the top 20 overall, tying other competitors for seventh and 17
th, respectively, shooting 223 (+7) and 229 (+13).
The next highest scorer for the Bison was junior
Morgan Horrell (Dallas), firing 234 (+18).
Despite a valiant effort by all six Bison who stepped onto the green, Cal Poly came away from the event in first place with a 27-over par performance. Sarah Yoo led them, shooting 219 (+3).
Louisiana State University's Josefin Widal and Tulane's Francesca Pompa led all scorers as they both shot 215 (-1).
The Bison will compete next at the Betsy Rawls Invitational in Austin, Texas (March 16-18).
