WASHINGTON (February 22, 2025) – Howard University women's golf team travels to Weston, Hills Fla., for the second annual Arcis HBCU Championship, hosted by Arcis Golf. The two-day, 54-hole tournament will occur at The Club at Weston Hills (7,272 yards, par-72) on The Players Course.
The opening round will tee off Sunday (Feb. 23) at 8 a.m., followed by the second round that afternoon. The last 18 holes start Monday (Feb. 24) at 8 a.m., followed by the awards ceremony.

HISTORY
Last year, the inaugural Arcis HBCU Championship was held at The Club at Weston Hills in Weston Hills, Florida. HU delivered an outstanding performance, securing the championship title, while Bison standout
Kendall Jackson (Pearland, Texas) dominated the competition, earning the women's individual title.
TOURNAMENT PREVIEW
The Club at Weston Hills is a private golf course, located in Weston Hills, Florida. The Tour Course was designed by Robert Jones, Jr., and opened in 1990. Five years later (1995), Jones designed an additional course, the Players Course. Together, the two 18-hole courses cover a combined length of 14,341 yards and have hosted the PGA, LPGA and numerous other events.
This year's tournament participants include Howard, Alabama State, Chicago State, Delaware State, North Carolina A&T State, Prairie View A&M, Southern and Texas Southern.
LAST TIMEOUT
On Nov. 3-4, the team finished first at the Eastside Golf Invitational, which was held at the Fields Ranch in Frisco, Texas.
Junior
Marley Franklin (Los Angeles) led the Bison, finishing second overall while shooting 1-over par (144).
UPCOMING SCHEDULE
Howard is set to host the upcoming Lady Bison Intercollegiate Tournament in Gainesville, Fla. (March 3-4).
