BURLINGTON, N.C. (September 15, 2026) – Howard University women's golf team grabbed fourth overall at the Elon Invitational, hosted by Phoenix. The two-day (Sept. 14-15), 54-hole event was held at the Alamance Country Club (par-71, 6,225 yards) in Burlington, N.C.
Collectively, HU shot 35-over par (887) with four Bison finishing in the top half.
Senior
Paris Fieldings (Chesapeake, Va.) led the way, tying for sixth place on the player leaderboard (216, +3).
Junior transfer
Kierra Williams (Fort Lauderdale, Fla.) posted a 222 (+9), tying for 14
th overall.
Third-year Bison
Laniah Moffett (Waterbury, Conn.) and newcomer
Alliah Jordan tied for 25
th (225, +12) and 32
nd (226, +13), respectively.
Elon won the event, firing 9-over par (861). William & Mary (W&M) took second place (882, +30), followed by Wofford (884, +32).
Lilli Downer (Elon) and Abigail Avallone (W&M) shared the individual title, each recording 3-under par (210).
On Oct. 3-4, HU travels to Annapolis, Md., for The Goat, hosted by Navy.
