FRISCO, Texas (September 15, 2026) – Howard University golf program saw four Bison compete at the annual Jackson T. Stephens (JTS Cup) in Frisco, Texas. The two-day (Sept. 14-15), 54-hole event took place at Fields Ranch – East (par-72, 7,482 yards).
On the men's side, seniors
Francisco Perez (Los Mochis, Mexico) and
Bear Huff (Riverside, Calif.) represented Bison Nation where they tied for 18
th (223, +7) and 24
th (226, +10), respectively.
For the women, junior
Lena Durette (Scottsdale, Ariz.) and rookie
Alexis Goboy (Chesapeake, Va.) took part in the tournament where they placed 33
rd (243, +27) and 35
th (251, +35), respectively.
Texas (UT) teammates Daniel Bennett and Matt Comegys shared the men's individual title after firing 9-under par (207). UT's Farah O'Keefe and Wake Forest's Macy Pate spilt the women's individual crown (212, -4).
On Sept. 19-20, HU men travel to Annapolis, Md., for The Goat, hosted by Navy.
For the women, they will also compete in Annapolis for the Navy Fall Invite (Oct. 3-4).
