WASHINGTON (September 13, 2026) – Howard University golf program gears up for a pair of tournaments: Elon Invitational (Sept. 14-15) and the Jackson T. Stephens Cup (Sept. 14-16).

TOURNAMENT PREVIEWS
ELON INVITATIONAL
The teams competing in the annual Elon Invitational include Howard, Elon, The Citadel, Coppin State, North Carolina A&T State, North Carolina Central, Presbyterian, Queens, South Carolina State, Tennessee Tech, USC Upstate, Western Carolina, William & Mary, Winthrop and Wofford.
The two-day, 54-hole event tourney takes place at Alamance Country Club in Burlington, N.C. Each day gets underway with an 8:30 a.m. (ET) shotgun start.
JACKSON T. STEPHENS CUP
Since its inception, standout student-athletes from HBCUs and U.S. military service academies have been integral to the Jackson T. Stephens Cup (JTS Cup), competing alongside the nation's top NCAA Division I programs to create one of the most distinctive fields in collegiate golf. The JTS Cup also gives these players the opportunity to showcase their talents to a national audience with televised daily coverage on GOLF Channel.
The JTS Cup features a 12-golfer individual field. Seniors
Bear Huff (Riverside, Calif.) and
Francisco Perez (Los Mochis, Calif.), junior
Lena Durette (Scottsdale, Ariz.) and newcomer
Alexis Goboy (Chesapeake, Va.) will represent Bison Nation in the Lone Star State.
The three-day tournament takes place at Fields Ranch East at PGA Frisco in Frisco, Texas. The men tee off at 9:15 p.m. (ET), followed by the women at 2:15 p.m. (ET).

MEN
The men's squad has not competed in a team event this fall.
WOMEN
On Sept. 8-9, the women's team opened its fall season at the annual Tulane Classic, placing fifth overall in New Orleans.
Durette led the Bison, tying for 12th overall (221, +5).
UPCOMING SCHEDULE
On Sept. 19-20, HU men travel to Annapolis, Md., for The Goat, hosted by Navy.
For the women, they will also compete in Annapolis for the Navy Fall Invite.
