WASHINGTON (February 22, 2025) - Howard University men's and women's track and field teams are fired up for the upcoming 2025 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Indoor Championships. The two-day event (Feb. 23-24) will be held at the Virginia Beach Sports Center in Virginia Beach, Va. (1045 19th St, Virginia Beach, VA 23451).

Tickets are currently available through the
Virginia Beach Sports Center. Fans can purchase a two-day pass for $20 or single day passes for $15, excluding taxes and fees. To purchase tickets, view the schedule of events by visiting the

David Oliver and more than two dozen Bison are set to take Virginia Beach by storm.

For the men, HU is looking to capture their first conference championship in 40 years (1985) after finishing in second place three years in a row. On the women's side, Howard is in pursuit of its fourth straight indoor crown.

The MEAC Indoor Championships will feature all eight members: Howard; Coppin State; Delaware State; Maryland Eastern Shore; Morgan State; Norfolk State; North Carolina Central and South Carolina State.

Sunday's (Feb. 23) action begins at 8:30 a.m., with the women's pentathlon. The MEAC will crown champions Sunday in the men's and women's long jump, 3K meter runs and more.

Monday's (Feb.24) slate concludes with the men's 4 x 400-meter relay final, beginning at 3:30 p.m.

- Kelis Armstrong (12.53 meters) and Jazmyn Wajd (12.52 meters) rank first and second in the MEAC, respectively, for women's triple jump. Armstrong (Junior – Plano, Texas) also ranks third in the MEAC for women's long jump (5.88 meters) and earned MEAC Women's Field Athlete of the Week (Feb. 6).

Both HU men and women ventured off to Chicago last week (Feb. 14-15) for the Windy City Invitational, hosted by the Wisconsin Badgers. The Bison aim to build off strong performances in the Windy City, in search of conference titles.

UPCOMING SCHEDULE

On March 7-9, the Bison will travel to Louisville, Ken., for the inaugural HBCU Indoor Championships. This will be the last meet before the NCAA Indoor Championships in Virginia Beach, Va., which begins March 13.
