NORFOLK, Va. (February 19, 2025) – The Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) uncovered its men's and women's track & field weekly accolades where Howard University saw two Bison acknowledged for their efforts at the annual Windy City Invite (Feb. 14-15), hosted by the Wisconsin Badgers, in Chicago.

Kailei Collins (Houston) earned MEAC Women's Track Athlete of the Week while DMV native senior jumper
Chase Drewery (Waldorf, Md.) took home the league's Men's Field Athlete of the Week.
In the 60-meter dash, Collins set a new school record, posting a conference-best 7.42, while placing fifth overall in the race. The Houston native also competed in the 200-meter dash, clocking in at a MEAC-best 23.85.
For Drewery, he won the triple jump after leaping nearly 50 feet (15.15 meters), which ranks third-best in the league this season.
Norfolk State Freshman Jaymes Saunders was named MEAC Men's Track Athlete of the Week while fellow Spartan Leslie Young earned Women's Field Athlete of the Week.
On Feb. 23-24, Howard goes to Virginia Beach, Va., for the 2025 MEAC Indoor Track & Field Championships.
