NORFOLK, Va. (February 18, 2025) – The Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) revealed its men's basketball weekly awards where Howard University freshman guard
Blake Harper (Washington) notched his 15
th consecutive Rookie of the Week honor. The announcement came Monday (Feb. 17).
In the two-game span, Harper averaged 15.5 points, 7.5 rebounds and 4.5 assists. Monday (Feb. 10), he registered his fourth career double-double (13 points & 11 boards) in the road win at Maryland Eastern Shore. Saturday (Feb. 15), the D.C. product had a team-leading 18 points at Delaware State.
Graduate forward
Cameron Shockley-Okeke (Norwalk, Conn.) received honorable mention after averaging 17.5 points during the week.
Delaware State's Martaz Robinson was named MEAC Player of the Week while Coppin State's Peter Oduro earned Defensive Player of the Week.
Howard looks to extend its streak when it travels to Baltimore to take on the Bears of Morgan State Saturday (Feb. 22) at 4 p.m.
