NORFOLK, Va. (December 17, 2025) – The Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) uncovered its men's track & field weekly honors where Howard University swept the accolades. The announcement came Wednesday morning.
Freshman
Sayid Shakur (Fort Washington, Md.) won MEAC Track Athlete of the Week while teammate graduate
Sean Wray (Stafford, Va.) earned Field Athlete of the Week.
Shakur placed 15
th overall in the mile at the Seahawk Shootout, posting a time of 4:30.33, which sits fifth in the league.
For Wray, he won the triple jump with a MEAC-best mark of 14.94 meters, which ranks 23
rd nationally.
On Jan. 9-10, HU returns to action for the Rod McCravy Invitational, hosted by the University of Kentucky.
