INDIANAPOLIS (December 17, 2025) – HBCU All-Stars unveiled its men's basketball weekly honors where Howard University won a pair of awards. The announcement came Wednesday morning.
Graduate guard
Bryce Harris (Brentwood, N.Y.) earned HBCU All-Stars NCAA Division I MEAC Player of the Week for the second time this season while the squad took home NCAA Division I MEAC Team of the Week. This week's honorees included games from Dec. 7 through Dec. 13.
Monday (Dec. 15), Harris won MEAC (Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference) Player of the Week after averaging a double-double (17.5 points & 11.0 rebounds) in the victories over rivals North Carolina A&T State (Dec. 9) and Hampton (Dec. 13).
Currently, Harris leads the MEAC in scoring (19.9 ppg) and rebounding (6.8 rpg).
Collectively, the Bison went 2-0 in neutral site wins over North Carolina A&T State, 73-69, and Hampton, 61-57.
Defensively, HU leads the league in points allowed (71.1 ppg) and turnovers forced per game (16.1), which ranks 24
th in the country.
HBCU All-Stars LLC features the nation's top HBCU student-athletes from the MEAC (Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference), SWAC (Southeastern Athletic Conference), CIAA (Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association) and SIAC (Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference), along with Hampton, North Carolina A&T State and Tennessee State.
The 2026 HBCU All-Star Game, a college basketball showcase highlighting 24 of the best HBCU players in the country, will be held in Indianapolis at Corteva Coliseum on the Indiana State Fairgrounds (Sunday, April 5, 2026) and will air live on national television and streaming networks.
Howard travels to Wilmington, N.C., to take on the Seahawks of UNCW Saturday (Dec. 20) at 2 p.m.
