NORFOLK, Va. (December 15, 2025) – The Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) uncovered its men's basketball weekly accolades where Howard University swept the honors. The announcement came Monday morning.
 
Graduate guard Bryce Harris (Brentwood, N.Y.) won MEAC Player of the Week while junior guard Cam Gillus took home the league's Defensive Player of the Week. Freshman center Danas Kazakevicius (Vilnius, Lithuania) rounded out the Bison with his second MEAC Rookie of the Week award.
 
Harris averaged a double-double (17.5 points & 11.0 rebounds) in the victories over rivals North Carolina A&T State (Dec. 9) and Hampton (Dec. 13). After filling the stat sheet with 19 points, 10 boards, three blocks, two steals and a pair assists against the Aggies, he followed up with 16 points, 12 rebounds and two blocks versus the Pirates.
 
Gillus created havoc on the defensive end, totaling seven rebounds, six steals, and one block during the two-game stretch. In the victory over Hampton, Gillus pulled down five rebounds and recorded a career-high five steals. Offensively, the Virginia native tallied 32 points and nine assists on the week.
 
Kazakevicius played a key role in Howard's 2-0 week, tallying 21 points, eight rebounds, four assists and two blocks. In Tuesday's win over the Aggies, he posted a career-high 19 points and five rebounds.
 
Howard looks to extend its current streak when it travels to the City of Brotherly Love (Philadelphia) to take on Drexel Tuesday (Dec. 16) at 11 a.m.
