NORFOLK, Va. (November 3, 2025) – The Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) uncovered its women's volleyball weekly honors where Howard University had two Bison recognized for their incredible efforts against Delaware State (Oct. 31) and Maryland Eastern Shore (Nov. 2). The announcement came Monday afternoon.
Senior
Leah Reeves (Allen, Texas) earned MEAC Setter of the Week while freshman
Kristen Dear (Carson, Calif.) took home the league's Rookie of the Week.
Reeves averaged 12.7 assists per set, including back-to-back 40-plus assist matches. She also contributed 12 digs, four aces and four total blocks across seven sets to help Howard to a 2-0 week.
For Dear, she registered 19 kills with a .615 hitting percentage, including a .778 performance versus Delaware State. At Maryland Eastern Shore, she racked up 12 kills and six total blocks against the Hawks.
North Carolina Central's Kamren Harper was named MEAC Player of the Week while Coppin State's Coco Figueroa claimed Defensive Player of the Week.
HU wraps up its home slate with a pair of MEAC showdowns. Friday (Nov. 7), Howard hosts North Carolina Central for 90s Night at 6 p.m. Two days later (Nov. 9), the Bison face South Carolina State on Senior Day. First-serve at noon inside The Burr.
