NORFOLK, Va. (November 19, 2025) – The Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) revealed its women's volleyball all-academic team where Howard University saw eight Bison recognized for their academic excellence inside the classroom. The announcement came Tuesday afternoon (Nov. 18).
To be eligible, MEAC sophomores, juniors and seniors must hold a cumulative 3.0 grade point average or higher. Transfer student-athletes must have at least one year of residence at their respective institutions to be eligible.
This year's honorees included
Gabby Allen (Laurel, Md.),
Sydnei Jones (Bridgeville, Pa.),
Halie McGinest (Calabasas, Calif.),
Rya McKinnon (Hoover, Ala.),
Camryn Shelton (Charlotte, N.C.),
Maddie Siegel (Fishers, Ind.),
Claire Simpson (Plainfield, Ill.) and
Kennedi Wright (Plano, Texas).
Collectively, the league honored 73 student-athletes from its elite eight member institutions for their outstanding academic achievements during the 2025-26 academic year.
Howard opens the tourney Thursday (Nov. 20) against No. 7 Norfolk State. First serve is set for 5 p.m., inside PEC Arena in Baltimore.
