LEXINGTON, Va. (January 18, 2025) – Howard University women's swimming & diving team earned a pair of wins in the quad-meet at VMI.
Despite dropping a close one to crosstown rival American, 133-151, the Bison knocked off VMI, 192-79, and Northeast Conference opponent Saint Francis, 147-127.
Senior
Zaylie-Elizabeth Thompson (Nassau, Bahamas), junior
Zuilda Nwaeze (Columbia, Md.) and sophomores
Jasmine Morgan (Chicago) and
Chanice Posada (Houston) opened the afternoon with a victory in the 200 Medley Relay, clocking in at 1:44.41.
Individually, Posada took first in the 100 Back (57.23) while Thompson claimed gold in the 200 IM (2:10.66).

Gabrielle Vickles (El Dorado, Trinidad & Tobago) placed first (23.36) and third (24.42), respectively, in the 50 Free.

Summer McKoy (Pikesville, Md.) closed out the meet victorious in the 200 Free Relay (1:36.30).
Saturday (Feb. 1), HU hosts nearby Catholic for Senior Day. First race is slated for 1 p.m., inside Burr Gym Pool.
