PHILADELPHIA & LOUISVILLE, Ken. (January 11, 2025) – Howard University women's track & field squad took part in two meets: Rod McCravy Invite (Jan. 10-11) and Penn Select (Jan. 11).
ROD MCCRAVY INVITATIONAL
Graduate
Marcia Sey (London, United Kingdom) led the way, competing in the 60-meter hurdles where she earned third place with an 8.21 time.
Newcomer
Tiffany Mugubi (Houston) won bronze in the 800-meter run, clocking in at 2:16.31.
Second-year Bison
Aiyana Gray-Williams (Winston-Salem, N.C.) represented HU in the 60-meter dash, placing sixth overall (7.47).
Off the track, junior
Kelis Armstrong (Plano, Texas) took part in the triple jump, leaping nearly 41 feet (12.33 meters) while finishing fifth.
PENN SELECT
Junior
Lauren Thompson (Frisco, Texas) and senior
Jasmyn Hunter (Flossmoor, Ill.) made the 60-meter hurdles final, earning second (8.47) and fourth (8.72), respectively. Thompson also competed in the 60-meter dash, placing sixth (7.74).
Senior
Joslyn Crosby (Bossier City, La.) took third place in the 3K run, registering a 10:17.61 time.
In the field, junior
Temi Banwo (Allen, Texas) finished third in the weight throw, tossing 16.47 meters.
UPCOMING SCHEDULE
HU is set to compete another pair of meets: Cork Classic (Jan. 17-18) and HBCU Showcase (Jan. 17).
