WASHINGTON (September 27, 2024) – Howard University men's swimming & diving team opened its 2024-25 campaign with a pair of victories at the annual Potomac Relays, hosted by American University.
The 200 Medley Relay squad of graduate
Tristan Stevens (Chicago), senior
Darin Johnson (Atascocita, Texas) junior
Taj Benton (Baltimore) and sophomore
Kristopher Lawson (Gaithersburg, Md.) took home gold, clocking in at 1:32.12.

Mason Green (Fort Lauderdale, Fla.) competed in the 3x100 Fly Relay where they placed first overall with a 2:32.03 time.
HU also earned two second place finishes in the 3x100 Back Relay and 3x100 Breast Relay.
Howard took third overall in the event, scoring 302 points.
George Mason won the 2024 Potomac Relays, tallying 332 points, followed by Georgetown (308).
The next time Howard competes, they will host local rival Georgetown for the Battle at The Burr III Saturday (Oct. 5) at 1 p.m.
