Howard (0-3) seeks its first win of the season after a 4-3 loss against George Mason (GM) Saturday (Sept. 7).
The Bison held their own in their previous match against GM, racking up three goals on 14 shots.

Mason Christian (Fulton, Md.) scored twice while freshman
Naim Robinson (Detroit) scored his first collegiate goal.
Bryson Baker (Ellicott City, Md.) and
Roman Stallings (Tyrone, Ga.) both helped the Bison with assists.

VMI enters Saturday's showdown looking to snap its four-match slide after staring the year 2-0.
The Keydets senior forward Grant Martin has scored twice this season. Sophomore midfielder Jesse Lee grasped his two first career goals this season as well. Junior goalie Zach Murphy has a career save percentage of 62-percent.
Head coach Nick Regan will be entering his third season and assistant coach Jacob Wyrick is a new addition to the staff from late July of 2024.
VMI is projected to finish fifth in the tough Southern Conference (SoCon).
LAST TIMEOUT
Monday (Sept. 7), the Bison lost to George Mason, 4-3. After battling in the first half, GM was first to get on at the 27
th-minute mark, followed by two more goals making the halftime whistle seem farther away with the score board, 3-0. At the 44
th-minute, Robinson scored the first goal concluding the score for the half, 3-1.
Christian opened the scoring in the second half, starting the lead to a comeback, 3-2. Threatening George Mason's unblemished record, the grad forward continued with yet another goal tying the score, 3-3.
The Patriots claimed the win in the 88
th-minute with a shot deflected off a defending Bison, 4-3.
UPCOMING SCHEDULE
On Sept. 21, Howard will be hosting UC San Diego in its home opener. Match time is slated for 2 p.m., at Greene Stadium.
