ANNAPOLIS, Md. (August 29, 2025) – Howard University men's soccer (0-2-1) came to a 1-1 draw in Annapolis after a late Navy (0-0-3) goal evened the score.
With help from midfielders
Naim Robinson (Detroit) and
Zach Simmons (Rockwall, Texas), senior
Roman Stallings (Tyrone, Ga.) scored the lone goal for the Bison, connecting with the back of the net less than three minutes into the match.
Howard took a shot at extending the lead four minutes later when
Daniil Kaban (Kharkiv, Ukraine) placed the ball in the bottom center of the net but was cut short by the keeper.
Howard managed one more shot in the half before closing it out with a 1-0 lead.
Howard held the Shipmen at bay for nearly 75 minutes before the Shipmen evened the score 1-1 on their 17
th attempt.
Junior keeper
Ireal Wyze-Daly (Ontario, Canada) registered seven saves in 90 minutes of play.
Offensively, grad transfer
Justin Harris (Ypsilanti, Mich.) led the attack with two shots.
The Bison are back on the field Monday, September 1, at 5 p.m., when they take on UMBC.
