Hi everyone! My name is Amanda Ifeanyichukwu and I play on the Howard Women's Volleyball team. We're currently in Botswana right now for our team foreign tour, and it's been a blast.
Today we headed to our first safari at the Mokolodi Game Reserve. We were greeted by the staff with a welcome drink and boarded the cars to take around the reserve. We got to see all kinds of animals: giraffes, hippos, antelopes, cheetahs, and zebras. My favorite was getting to see the giraffes.
They are so much bigger than I thought they were! The TV screens don't do them justice. It was so surreal to see one in person. I also liked getting to see the zebras at the watering hole. There was a herd of them and they looked so majestic. Before we headed back, we stopped for lunch at a beautiful location overlooking the whole reserve. Everybody had a great time and the food was incredible. We headed back from the reserve back to the hotel and had some time to hang out by the pool as a team. After that, we headed to the gym to play the Lesotho National Team.

We beat the other team in three sets! They were a very high-energy team who played scrappy defense, so it was a really fun match to be a part of. We ended off a fun-filled day with dinner from Nando's. Overall, I'd say we had a 10/10 day!
