NORFOLK, Va. (April 2, 2024) – The Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) unveiled its softball weekly honors where Howard University graduate outfielder
Bianca Worthy (Goodyear, Ariz.) grabbed the league's Player of the Week accolade for the third time this season. The announcement came Tuesday afternoon.
In the season series sweep versus Maryland Eastern Shore (March 29-30), Worthy batted .714 (5-of-7) with seven runs scored, three RBIs and two walks. She also had two doubles, a triple and stolen base in the three-game sweep against the Hawks.
This season, Worthy tops the league in total hits (39) and runs scored (29).

Justine Lambert (Camarillo, Calif.) received honorable mention.
Morgan State's Ellie Bostedt was named MEAC Rookie of the Week while fellow Lady Bear Anaya Hunte took home the conference's Pitcher of the Week.
On April 6-7, Howard goes to Dover, Del., to face Delaware State. The series starts with a Saturday (April 6) doubleheader at 1 p.m., followed by a seven-inning contest Sunday (April 7) at noon.
