NORFOLK, Va. (February 28, 2024) – The Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) uncovered its men's basketball weekly honors where Howard University junior guard
Bryce Harris (Brentwood, N.Y.) collected his fifth Defensive Player of the Week award. The announcement came Wednesday.
In the home wins over Morgan State (Feb. 24) and Coppin State (Feb. 26), Harris averaged a double-double (16 points & 14 boards). Saturday, he racked up 12 points and 12 rebounds against the Bears. Two nights later, the New York product registered 20 points and a career-high 16 boards versus the Eagles.
Harris leads the league in field goal percentage at 57-percent.
Graduate forward
Seth Towns (Columbus, Ohio) received honorable mention after scoring 18 points on 4-of-8 shooting from long range in a win over Coppin State.
North Carolina Central's Po'Boigh King was named MEAC) Offensive Player of the Week while Norfolk State forward Chris Fields Jr., took home Rookie of the Week.
Saturday (March 2), HU goes to Princess Anne, Md., to face Maryland Eastern Shore. Tipoff is set for 2 p.m.
