FUQUAY-VARINA, N.C. (March 18, 2024) – BOXTOROW uncovered its 16
th HBCU Division I men's college basketball All-America Team where Howard University junior guard
Bryce Harris (Brentwood, N.Y.) made First Team. The announcement came Monday (March 18).
During the regular season, Harris, All-MEAC First Team and All-Defensive Team, led the league in field goal percentage at 57-percent, which ranked 40
th in the nation. The New York native won Mid-Eatern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Defensive Player of the Week six times after ranking among the league leaders in rebounding (2
nd) and blocks (6
th).
Earlier today, Harris was named HBCU National Player of the Week for his performance during the MEAC Tournament in Norfolk, Va.
Overall, 14 schools were represented on this year's BOXTOROW All-America teams. BOXTOROW has administered the All-America team since 2009.
Jackson State guard Ken Evans Jr., and Norfolk State guard Jamarii Thomas were selected HBCU National Co-Players of the Year while the Spartans head coach Robert Jones took home HBCU National Coach of the Year.
Tuesday (March 19), Howard faces Wagner College in the NCAA First Four. Tipoff is slated for 6:40 p.m., live on TruTV.
