WASHINGTON (March 22, 2024) - Howard University women's lacrosse team returns home to Greene Stadium to face Sacred Heart University (SHU) Saturday, March 23. Match time is scheduled for noon.

SERIES HISTORY
This is the third matchup between the two programs with the Bison trailing, 2-0, in the series.
HOWARD
Howard is still looking for their first win of the season (0-9, 0-3 NEC). HU lost to LIU (March 16), 16-6, in its last outing.
So far this season, attackers
Marley Rhymes (Coatesville, Pa.) and
Chase Coleman (Houston) have led the attack for the Bison, along with midfielder/attacker
Quai Skeete-Ridley (New Carrollton, Md.). This season, Skeete-Ridley has scored 12 goals with Rhymes and Coleman tied for second with eight goals apiece.
Logan Ford (Charlotte, N.C.) has been in goal for eight of the nine games this season, but
Zahria Liggans (Detroit) got the starting nod last weekend in Brookyln, N.Y.
SACRED HEART
This season, the Pioneers hold a 2-5 overall record (1-1 NEC). They lost their opening game to UMass Lowell, 16-8, Sunday, Feb. 11, followed by a loss to Bryant, 16-8. Sacred Heart would earn their first win against Quinnipiac, 14-12, then lost in overtime to Le Moyne College, 7-6, followed by a 7-6 win over LIU. Their last game was a 15-5 loss to Fairfield.
Leading the Pioneers are attackers Emma Kittredge and Maggie Araneo. Kittredge has 15 goals on the season, followed by Araneo with 13 goals.
LAST TIMEOUT
On March 16, the Bison lost to LIU, 16-6.
In the second quarter, LIU would take full control of the game as they scored six unanswered goals to go into halftime with a 10-1 lead. Howard would outscore LIU, 3-2, in the last quarter.
UPCOMING SCHEDULE
Following the game against the Pioneers, the Bison will travel to Delaware State to face the Hornets in conference play. The game is scheduled for Wednesday, March 27, with a 5 p.m. start time.
