MATCHUP PREVIEW

SERIES RECORD

George Washington leads the series against Howard 4-0, with the last meeting occurring in 2014.

HOWARD

HU looks to go 1-0 on opening day.

After losing six seniors from last year's squad, this year's team includes many seniors and graduate students. There is plenty of freshmen, sophomores and juniors on the team as well, so everyone should be familiar with each other considering the veteran leadership on the team.

Fifth-year senior Quai Skeete-Ridley (New Carrollton, Md.) returns for her last year after being named to the All-NEC Second Team. A year ago, she led the team in total points (21), goals (18) and draw controls (31). The final game of the season against Central Connecticut State (April 29, 2023) saw the Maryland native deliver her best performance of the season, producing a hat trick on Senior Day.

GEORGE WASHINGTON

This season, George Washington is projected to finish sixth in the Atlantic 10 Conference. The Revolutionaries finished with an overall record of 6-12 (5-4 Atlantic 10) last season.

They finished fifth in the conference during the regular season and lost in the first round of the conference championship to Davidson.

UPCOMING SCHEDULE

Tuesday (Feb. 13), the Bison will host American University in their home opener. Match time is set for 3 p.m., at Greene Stadium and can be seen on NEC Front Row.
