WASHINGTON (February 18, 2024) – Howard University men's basketball team looks to extend its win streak Monday (Feb. 19) when they battle South Carolina State (SCSU) in a crucial Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) showdown inside Burr Gymnasium. The action starts at 7:30 p.m.

Marcus Dockery (Washington) scored a season-high 26 points and fellow classmate guard
Bryce Harris (Brentwood, N.Y.) added 23 points to lead four players in double figures as the Bison cruised to a 90-82 win over North Carolina Central in a high-scoring MEAC game at Burr Gymnasium.
Sophomore forward
Shy Odom (Roxbury, Mass.), who has missed the last 11 games with a back injury, had a productive return, playing 17 minutes with 10 points and three assists before fouling out.
Graduate forward
Seth Towns (Columbus, Ohio) added 12 points on 5-of-8 while grabbing seven rebounds.

On Jan. 8, sophomore forward
Dom Campbell (Scarborough, Maine) came off the bench to score 18 points to lead four scorers in double figures as the Bison team rallied from a second-half deficit to pull out an 82-78 win over SCSU in a MEAC game at the Smith-Hammond-Middleton Memorial Gym.
It was a team effort from Towns, Harris and Dockery. Towns finished with 18 points, seven rebounds and five assists, including 9-of-10 from the charity stripe. Harris contributed 17 points and seven rebounds while Dockery chipped in 15 points on 6-of-12 from the field.
The Bulldogs were led by Mitchell Taylor (18 points), Atiba Taylor (13 points) and Wilson Dubinsky (10 points).

Howard outlasted the improved Bulldogs, 82-78, back in Orangeburg (Jan. 8) to extend its win streak to five-in-a-row. SCSU last won, 58-55, in Orangeburg (January 31, 2022).
The Bison lead the series, 10-9, dating back to 2006.

SOUTH CAROLINA STATE
The Bulldogs (5-16, 4-4 MEAC) are coming off a 71-67 OT loss at Norfolk State Saturday (Feb. 17) that stopped a two-game win streak.
They are led by junior guard Michael Teal (8.2 ppg & team-leading 59 total assists), Dubinsky (8.1 ppg & 53 three pointers made), junior forward Davion Everett (8.0 ppg & team-leading 6.4 rpg), Taylor (8.0 ppg & team-leading 54 total assists) and freshman center Drayton Jones (team-leading 21 total blocks).
MEAC NOTES
HOWARD
Howard leads the conference in field goal percentage (46-percent), three-point shooting (37-percent), three pointers made (8.0 per game) and scoring (76.0 ppg).
Individually, Harris is a strong candidate for both MEAC Player and Defensive Player of the Year, leading the MEAC in shooting (58-percent) and second in scoring and rebounding.
Towns is also a strong candidate, ranking third in three-point field goals made per game (2.3), fourth in rebounding, sixth in free throw shooting and eighth in scoring and assists.
Dockery, the sharpshooter from D.C., leads the MEAC in three-point shooting and three pointers made per game (2.7) and 10
th in scoring.
SOUTH CAROLINA STATE
SC State leads the MEAC in assists (14.9).
Individually, Teal is seventh in assists and 10
th in free throw shooting.
Dubinsky is fourth in three pointers made per game (2.2) and Everett is fifth in rebounding.
BISON NOTES
- Howard had perhaps its best shooting performance of the year in the win over NCCU (Feb. 17). The team got a huge boost with the return of Odom, MEAC Preseason Player of the Year, who came off the bench to score 10 points and record three assists. The Massachusetts native had missed the previous 11 games with a back injury.
- The Big Three (Harris, Towns & Dockery) are all averaging over 31 minutes per game.
- Conversely, the Bulldogs play as many as 10 players per game, with eight averaging between six and eight points.
