WASHINGTON (August 15, 2026) – Building off last year's historic season, the Howard University men's basketball team is set to host the inaugural Dream Factory Classic. The one-day event is scheduled for Monday (Aug. 24), starting at 9 a.m., at Woodmont Country Club (1201 Rockville Pike, Rockville, MD 20852).
 
The golf outing brings together Howard basketball supporters for a day of golf, fellowship and fun.
 
HU had a historic year for the program under Coach Kenneth Blakeney. The Bison won 24 games, tying the school record for most wins in a season. More importantly, they won a first round NCAA game for the first time in school history, setting the stage for something special in years to come.
 
Howard finished 23^rd on the CollegeInsider.com Men's Mid-Major Top 25 Poll for the first time in its 27 years of existence and looks to build on this season's success for the upcoming 2026-27 campaign.
