NORFOLK, Va. (December 9, 2024) – The Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) revealed its men's basketball weekly honors where Howard University freshman standout
Blake Harper (Washington) won the league's Rookie of the Week for the fifth time this season. The announcement came Monday.
The D.C. native notched his first career double-double (23 points & 10 boards) at No. 14 Cincinnati. He shot 50-percent (8-of-16) from the floor while going a perfect 7-of-7 from the charity stripe.
Graduate guard
Joshua Strong (Minneapolis) earned honorable mention after recording nine points, four steals and two assists against the Bearcats.
Morgan State senior Will Thomas was named MEAC Player of the Week while North Carolina Central forward Perry Smith Jr., earned Defensive Player of the Week.
Howard hosts Virginia-Lynchburg Wednesday (Dec. 11) at 7 p.m., inside Burr Gymnasium.
