Bison look to keep momentum going in Williamsburg

WASHINGTON (November 28, 2024) – Howard University women's basketball team heads to Williamsburg, Va., to battle William & Mary (W&M) Friday (Nov. 29). Game time is slated for 2 p.m., live on Flo College.

Saturday (Nov. 23), graduate guard Destiny Howell (Queens, N.Y.) came out of a recent shooting slump, scoring a game-high 20 points and freshman guard Saniyah King (Washington) contributed 17 points to lead the Bison to a 76-55 win over New Hampshire in a nonconference game at Burr Gymnasium.
 
SERIES RECORD
 
This is the 11th meeting between the two programs with the Tribe leading the series, 7-3.
 
William & Mary has won six-in-a-row with the latest being an 88-75 win in 2018. The Bison last won, 66-54, in Colorado (Nov. 25, 2000).
 
THE COACHES
 
Howard is coached by Ty Grace (New Haven, '99), who is in her 10th season. William & Mary is led by Erin Dickerson Davis (Northwestern, '09), who is her third season.

King has been named MEAC (Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference) Rookie of the Week for the second time this season Tuesday (Nov. 26). The freshman guard posted career highs in points (17) and assists (6) in the win over New Hampshire (Nov. 23).
 
Howell has scored in double figures in all six games.
