LAST TIMEOUT

UNH (4-2) had a two-game win streak snapped in an 80-45 road loss at Boston College Wednesday (Nov. 20). Eva Dechent led her team in scoring with 12 points, but no other UNH player reached double figure. The Wildcats were outscored, 48-27, in the second half.

That same day, graduate guard Destiny Howell (Queen, N.Y.) scored a team-high 12 points, but a poor shooting performance downed the Bison, falling, 65-44, at East Carolina.

SERIES RECORD

This is the fourth meeting between the two institutions. The Wildcats prevailed, 59-51, last year in Durham, N.H. Howard won, 45-40, in 2013, but the Wildcats lead the series, 2-1.

BISON NOTES

Howard redshirt sophomore guard Tyana Walker (Leawood, Kan.), the 2023-24 MEAC (Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference) Rookie of the Year and a First Team Preseason All-Conference selection, has scored only nine points in five games this season, averaging almost 12 points per game a year ago.

Howell has also struggled despite leading the team in scoring. In the last two games, the sharpshooting senior has made only 8-of-33 shots from the field.

A pleasant surprise has been the play of junior transfer Zennia Thomas (Cleveland), who has made herself a presence on offense and on the boards.

NEXT UP

Howard returns to action on when it travels to Williamsburg, VA on November 29 to take on William & Mary.
