BOSTON (November 19, 2024) – Collegeinsider.com unveiled its 2024-25 Lou Henson Early Season Watch List where Howard University senior guard
Bryce Harris (Brentwood, N.Y.) was among the honorees. The announcement came Tuesday.
The prestigious award is presented annually to the top player in mid-major college basketball and honors the former Illinois and New Mexico State head coach, who won 775 games in 41 seasons. Henson is one of only 11 coaches to take two different schools to the NCAA Final Four. His teams have made 19 NCAA appearances and four NIT appearances.

Entering this season, the HBCU All-American was selected MEAC Preseason Player of the Year after ranking among the league leaders in several categories a year ago. Currently, Harris is only five points away of joining the exclusive 1,000-point club.
The recipient of the annual award is determined by a 10-member voting committee, which consists of current and former head coaches, along with two senior staff members of collegeinsider.com.
The 2025 award will be announced in San Antonio, site of the men's Division I Basketball Championship.
