NORFOLK, Va. (November 12, 2024) – The Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) uncovered its men's basketball weekly honors where Howard University guard Blake Harper (Washington) claimed the league's Rookie of the Week. The announcement came Tuesday.
 
In a three-game stretch, the D.C. native averaged 11.7 points, 6.3 rebounds and 3.3 assists. Monday (Nov. 4), Harper made his collegiate debut at No. 1 Kansas, posting 16 points, four boards and three assists.
 
Norfolk State guard Brian Moore Jr. was named MEAC Player of the Week while Coppin State guard Derrius Ward earned Defensive Player of the Week.
 
Wednesday (Nov. 13), Howard goes to A-Town (Atlanta) to face Tennessee State in the HBCU All-Star Challenge. Tipoff is set for 7 p.m.
