WASHINGTON (November 1, 2024) – Howard University women's swimming & diving team earned three victories Friday evening, but fell to crosstown rival American, 155-83.
The 200 Free Relay squad, consisting of junior
Skylar Debnam (Chandler, Ariz.) and sophomores
Summer McKoy (Pikesville, Md.),
Jasmine Morgan (Chicago) and
Chanice Posada (Houston) highlighted the night, winning the race with a 1:38.52 mark.
Individually, Posada claimed gold in the 200 Back with a 2:08.56 time.
Graduate
Alana Josey (York, Pa.) and freshmen
Sydney Shelton (Garland, Texas) and
Jonah Jennings (Atlanta) swept the competition, taking first (2:32.05), second (2:49.22) and third (2:49.52), respectively, in the 200 Breast.
On the board, senior
Jordynn Connell (Flower Mound, Texas) placed third overall in the 3-meter dive, scoring 193.42 points, while second-year Bison
Jala Wilson (Richmond, Va.) took home bronze in the 1-meter dive (205.80).
Saturday (Nov. 16), the Bison will host Mount St. Mary's in a dual meet. The race will begin at 1 p.m.
