BRIDGEWATER, N.J. (September 29, 2026) – The NEC uncovered its women's swimming & diving preseason poll where Howard University was picked to win after receiving four first-place votes. The announcement came Tuesday afternoon.

Nicholas Askew and the Bison are chasing back-to-back NEC titles after winning their first championship in program history a year ago.
This year's club features seniors
Rhanishka Gibbs (Nassau, Bahamas) and
Chanice Posada (Houston) and second-year Bison
Alyssa Napier (Wilmington, Del.).
Perennial power Central Connecticut State is projected to finish second after receiving three first-place votes. Wagner finished third, followed by LIU and Le Moyne College, respectively.
New league member VMI (Virginia Military Institute) was voted to finish sixth and Stonehill College rounded out the poll in seventh place.
Saturday (Oct. 10), Howard returns to Burr Gym Pool to host crosstown rival Georgetown in the annual Battle at The Burr. The first race is scheduled for 2 p.m.
