Before Howard: Achievements include 2x Canyon Athletic Association (CAA) Female Swimmer of the Year, CAA State Champion in the 50 SCY Freestyle (2017, 2018, 2019, 2021), 3x Record Holder, CAA State Champion in the 100 SCY Freestyle (2017, 2018, 2019, 2021), CAA State Champion in the 200 SCY Freestyle (2021), and 5th Place at the USA Swimming Speedo Futures Championship (2019). She was also awarded MVP for the BASIS Chandler Swim Team (2018, 2019) and participated in the USA Swimming Western Zone Diversity Select Camp (2018).
Personal: Major is Sports Medicine with a minor in Chemistry… Chose Howard University to be around like-minded individuals and to be part of history as it is the only HBCU in the nation with a Division 1 collegiate swim program… hails from Chandler, Arizona, USA… Her hobbies include sports, particularly football, baking, and being a sneakerhead… She aims to work within the sports industry… She would like to be mentored by Simone Manuel, the first African American woman to win an individual gold medal at the Olympics, because they share similarities and she feels Simone would understand her journey… She believes her ability to thrive in uncomfortable thresholds makes her unique as an athlete… Her favorite professional sports team is the Philadelphia Eagles… She thinks she resembles Simone Manuel and maybe Coco Gauff… She would like to be on the reality show The Amazing Race… Pre-game playlist includes "No Flockin" by Kodak Black, "Hotel Lobby" by Quavo and Takeoff, and "EA" by Young Nudy.
