WASHINGTON (OCTOBER 12, 2024) -Howard University golf program travels to St. Andrews, Scotland for the St. Andrews Links Collegiate, presented by TopGolf and World Wide Technology.
On October 14-16, the three-day event will feature men's and women's golf teams with two days of stroke play on the Jubilee Course, followed by a day of medal match play on the Old Course at St Andrews.

HISTORY
The Jubilee course is a championship golf course on a narrow strip of land between the New Course and St. Andrews Bay. The course was founded in 1897 to celebrate Queen Victoria's Diamond Jubilee and was designed for beginners and women. In 1988, Donald Steele redesigned the course, which is now known for its variety and character.
TOURNAMENT PREVIEW
The last collegiate tournament played at the Old Course and Jubilee Course in St. Andrews, Scotland, was the 2023 St. Andrews Links Collegiate. The winner of the tournament was the Vanderbilt men's golf team.
The participants in this year's tournament include the University of St. Andrews, University of Arizona, Howard University and Northwestern University.
LAST TIMEOUT
MEN
On October 7-8, the men's team placed 12
th overall at the Hamptons Intercollegiate, located in East Hampton, New York.
Fifth-year senior
Marcus Smith Jr. (Rockford, Ill.) led the Bison, shooting 10-over par (226) while tying for 38th overall.
WOMEN
On September 28-29, the women's team earned third place at the Navy Fall Invitational, hosted by the Mids.
Third-year Bison
Marley Franklin (Los Angeles) led the way, shooting 149 (+5) in 36 holes of action. The Los Angeles native tied for fifth overall in the player leaderboard.
UPCOMING SCHEDULE
On October 21-23, several Bison go to Nichols Hills, Oklahoma, for the Jackson T. Stephens Cup.
