Bryce Harris (Brentwood, N.Y.) recorded a double-double (team-high 21 points & 11 rebounds), but a scoring drought over the last two minutes resulted in a 65-61 loss to Norfolk State in a MEAC game at Burr Gymnasium.

SERIES RECORD
Morgan State defeated the Bison, 89-76, on February 20, 2023, to end a three-game losing skid to their Beltways rivals.
The two have split the last 10 meetings and the series is deadlocked at 11-11 since 2006.

The Bison (8-12, 2-2 MEAC) are led by Towns (15.2 ppg, 6.8 rpg, 43 total assists, 17 total steals, nine total blocked shots, 42 made three pointers & 83-percent from the free throw line), Harris (15.6 ppg, 6.6 rpg, team-leading 20 total blocks & 56-percent shooting from the floor), Dockery (13.0 ppg, 41 total assists, 17 total steals & team-leading 49 made three pointers), graduate guard

Morgan State (5-14, 1-2 MEAC) is coming off an 89-86 win over Coppin State Saturday (Jan. 20) that snapped a six-game losing skid.
The Bears are led by redshirt senior guard Wynston Tabbs (16.0 ppg, 3.5 rpg & 86-percent free throw shooting), redshirt junior forward Will Thomas (10.8 ppg & 3.7 rpg), redshirt junior guards Kamron Hobbs (10.4 ppg, team-leading 70 total assists, 20 total steals & 33 three-pointers made) and junior forward Allen Udemadu (7.1 ppg, 6.3 rpg, 10 total blocks & 62-percent from the floor).
MEAC NOTES
HOWARD
The Bison lead the MEAC in field goal percentage (46-percent), three-point shooting (36-percent), three pointers made (8.0 per game) and field goal percentage defense (40 percent).
Individually, Towns is making a strong bid for MEAC Player of the Year. He is second in three-point shooting (39-percent) and rebounding (6.8 per game), fifth in scoring (15.2 ppg) and free throw shooting (83-percent) and ninth in assists.
Harris is also a strong candidate for both MEAC Offensive and Defensive Player of the Year consideration. The 6-foot-4 junior is first in field goal percentage (57-percent), fourth in blocked shots and rebounding, fifth in scoring and ninth in free throw shooting (71 percent).
Dockery leads the MEAC in three pointers made (2.5 per game) and 12
th in scoring (13.0 ppg).
Sophomore forward
Shy Odom (Roxbury, Mass.) is 10
th in assists.
MORGAN STATE
The Bears rank second in blocked shots (3.2 per game).
Individually, Tabbs leads the MEAC in free throw shooting (86-percent), fourth in scoring (16.0 ppg), fifth in field goal shooting (41-percent) and sixth in three-point shooting.
Hobbs is second in assist/turnover margin and fourth in assists.
Udemadu is seventh in rebounding and 10
th in blocked shots.
BISON NOTES
- Howard has had a challenging nonconference schedule with road games at Georgia Tech (ACC), James Madison (Sun Belt), Rutgers (Big Ten), Penn (Ivy League) and UC Santa Barbara (Big West). They have also hosted Cincinnati (Big 12) and Yale (Ivy League).
- The Bison have started 10 different starting lineups due to injuries.
- Seven Howard players have 10 or more steals.
- Harris has been named the MEAC Defensive Player of the Week twice and Towns was named MEAC Player of the Week once this season.
- The trio of Towns, Harris and Dockery have combined to carry the Howard offense, averaging 42 points and 16 rebounds between them.
- The Bison bench has been tested this season with the rash of injuries.
- Odom, the MEAC Preseason Player of the Year, has missed the last seven games (back injury) and his availability is questionable as is that of graduate guard Jelani Williams (wrist injury).
