Seth Towns (Columbus, Ohio) combined for 35 second half points to lead the Bison to a hard-fought 72-61 victory over Maryland Eastern Shore (UMES) in a Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) game at Burr Gymnasium.
Harris, the reigning MEAC Defensive Player of the Week, led all scorers with 20 points to go along with seven rebounds. Dockery finished with 17 points while Towns offset a poor shooting performance (3-for-13, 2-of-10 from beyond the arc) with 12 points, five rebounds and five key assists.
Sophomore guard
Ose Okojie (Brampton, Canada) finished with eight points and a career-high 10 rebounds and two steals.

The Maroon Tigers (9-5) are coming off a 59-57 come-from-behind win over Allen University Saturday (Jan. 13) at home for their second straight victory.
They are led by senior guard Shawn Pegues (12.6 ppg, 5.9 rpg, 29 total steals & six blocks), freshmen guards Cedric Taylor, III (10.1 ppg, 4.5 rpg, team-leading & nine blocks) and Damion Mitchell (9.4 ppg, 3.0 rpg, team-leading 48 total assists), junior forward Amahn Decker (9.9 ppg & 5.7 rpg) and junior guard Jaden Gray (8.5 ppg & 3.8 rpg).
Morehouse ranks first in the SIAC in field goal percentage defense (38-percent) and fifth in steals (8.9).
BISON HOOVES
Howard leads the MEAC in field goal percentage (46-percent), three-point shooting (36-percent) and three pointers made (7.8 per game).
Individually, Towns is making an early bid for MEAC Player of the Year consideration. He leads the conference in three-point shooting (42-percent) and second in three pointers made and rebounding (6.5 rpg).
Harris is a strong candidate for MEAC Defensive Player of the Year. The New York native is first in field goal percentage (57-percent).

BISON NOTES
- Howard has had a challenging nonconference schedule with road games at Georgia Tech (ACC), James Madison (Sun Belt), Rutgers (Big Ten), Penn (Ivy League) and UC Santa Barbara (Big West). They have also hosted Cincinnati (Big 12) and Yale (Ivy League).
- The Bison have started 11 different starting lineups due to injuries.
- Five Howard players have 10 or more steals.
- Harris has been named the MEAC Defensive Player of the Week twice and Towns was named MEAC Player of the Week once this season.
- The trio of Towns, Harris and Dockery have combined to carry the Howard offense, averaging 42 points and 16 rebounds between them.
- There will be a pre-game unveiling banner ceremony for the 2022-23 MEAC Championship.
