Skeete-Ridley Collects NEC Postseason Honors

DMV native named to the All-NEC Team

BRIDGEWATER, N.J. (May 2, 2023) – The Northeast Conference (NEC) unveiled its 2023 women's lacrosse postseason honors where Howard University senior Quai Skeete-Ridley (New Carrollton, Md.) was recognized for her outstanding season. The announcement came Wednesday afternoon.
 
The DMV native made All-NEC Second Team after starting all 15 matches for HU. She led the squad in several categories, including total points (21), goals (18) and draw controls (31). Skeete-Ridley's best performance came in the season finale versus Central Connecticut State (April 29) where she produced a hat trick on Senior Day.
 
The nursing major plans to return for one more season in spring 2024.
 
Saint Francis (Pa.) won two major awards: Midfielder of the Year (Autumn McHenry) and Rookie of the Year (Bella Fisher). Wagner College saw Aileen Hannan and Lauren DiStefano claim NEC Defensive Player of the Year and Goalkeeper of the Year, respectively. Sacred Heart rounded out the major awards with Offensive Player of the Year (Lydia Werlau) and Coaching Staff of the Year (Laura Korutz & staff).
 
Howard head coach Karen Healy-Silcott and the Bison continue its pursuit for its first Northeast Conference title in spring 2024.
