Sidney Fletcher (Whittier, Calif.) has had an excellent season during her sophomore campaign. She has improved in almost every statistical category and leads Howard in batting average (.397), OPS (1.037), RBIs (18), slugging (.574) and OB% (.463).

Coppin State 4-23 (1-10 MEAC) is having a rough go of things this season, with their only conference victory coming against Howard in their previous doubleheader matchup.
Freshman Seryna Esparza (Hollister, Calif.) is leading the Eagles in her first season, batting .373 and leading her team in hits (25) and doubles (5).
