NORFOLK, Va. –The Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) unveiled its first softball weekly accolades of the season Monday afternoon. First-year outfielder
Maryn Jordan (San Diego, Ca.) was named conference Rookie of the Week after Howard's opening weekend in Clearwater.
The California native hit .455 after going 5-for-11 in four games this past weekend. Jordan drove in four runs, including three against Southern University Friday night. Earlier in the day she recorded her first career hit against ranked No. 12/13 Tennessee.
Teammate
Lealani Ricks (Madera, Ca.) earned honorable mention after going 3-for-4 for the weekend, including a 2-for-2 performance with two runs scored against Southern University.
The Bison return to action this Friday as they compete in UVA's 3-day Cavalier Classic. Howard kicks off the event with a matchup against the Longwood Lancers at 3PM.
