WASHINGTON (February 10, 2023) – Howard University women's lacrosse team opens its 2023 campaign in Chapel Hill, N.C., for neutral site contest against Delaware State (DSU). The match is scheduled for 11 a.m. at Dorrance Field.

HU looks to get into the win column on opening day.
Sophomore goalie
Anya Waller (King of Prussia, Pa.) returns to the cage after making the conference's All-Rookie Team a year ago. In her first season as a Bison, the Pennsylvania native racked up 163 total saves (18th nationally) while ranking among the country's best in saves per match (9.59/22nd).
Offensively, senior midfielder
Quai Skeete-Ridley (New Carrollton, Md.) led Howard with 33 points and 28 goals last season. She had eight multi-goal scoring games a year ago, including season-best five goals against Longwood (March 6, 2022).
DELAWARE STATE
DSU looks to knock off HU for the second straight season. Last year, the Lady Hornets defeated Howard, 17-8, in Dover, Del.
Nardi Rosella tallied seven total points (five goals and two assists) in the victory.
UPCOMING SCHEDULE
On Feb. 17, HU returns to The District to host Akron in the home opener. Match time is set for 3:30 p.m. at Greene Stadium.
