BRIDGEWATER, N.J. (December 6, 2023) – The Northeast Conference (NEC) unveiled its men's & women's swimming & diving weekly accolades where Howard University had a pair of Bison acknowledged for their performances at the annual H2ounds Invitational (Dec. 1-2), hosted by Loyola (Md.). The announcement came Wednesday afternoon.
Newcomer
Chanice Posada (Houston) claimed NEC Women's Swimmer & Rookie of the Week while fellow Texan native junior
Jordan Walker (San Antonio) took home the league's Men's Diver of the Week.
Posada led HU to a second-place finish in Baltimore with outstanding times. She led off the 200 Medley Relay with a 25.70 mark in the 50 Back, which tops the NEC and a CSCAA A-cut time. Additionally, the Houston product won the 100 Back (55.31) with another conference-best while making the CSCAA B-cut qualifying time.
For Walker, he earned his fifth weekly honor of the season after propelling the Bison to a second-place finish. He placed runner-up in the 3-meter dive, racking up 241 points, and secured third place in the 1-meter dive, scoring 242.65 points.
Sacred Heart's Olivia McNicholas received NEC Women's Diver of the Week while Wagner's Kaan Nakaci and Jasu Ovaskainen earned Men's Swimmer of the Week and Rookie of the Week, respectively.

Luke-Kennedy Thompson (Nassau, Bahamas) and senior
Tristan Stevens (Chicago) joined Posada and Walker on the NEC Prime Performers list.
On Dec. 8, HU goes to Annapolis, Md., for the Navy Long Course Time Trials, hosted by the Mids.
