NORFOLK, Va. (November 24, 2023) – The Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) unveiled its men's basketball weekly honors where Howard University junior guard
Bryce Harris (Brentwood, N.Y.) claimed the league's top defensive weekly honor. The announcement came Friday.
In three games, Harris averaged 8.3 rebounds and 1.3 blocks for the Bison. In the win over Boston (Nov. 14), he flirted with a double-double (19 points & nine boards).
This season, the New York native leads HU in scoring (16.2 ppg) and rebounding (6.8 rpg) while shooting over 55-percent (36-of-65) from the floor.
Maryland Eastern Shore junior forward Troy Hupstead was named MEAC Player of the Week while Coppin State guard Camaren Sparrow took home Rookie of the Week.
The Bison complete their current road swing when they visit Emmitsburg, Md., to take on Mount Saint Mary's Saturday (Nov. 25) at 4 p.m.
