NORTHBOROUGH, Mass. (August 1, 2022) – The Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) unveiled its 2022 academic honors where Howard University was well represented.
Howard made the IWLCA Academic Honor Squad after posting a 3.2 grade point average (GPA) or better during the 2021-22 academic year.
Overall, the IWLCA named 326 schools across Division I, II, III, and NAIA as Academic Honor Squads for the 2021-22 academic year.
Additionally, six Bison made the IWLCA Academic Honor Roll:
Kaila Abrams (Derry, N.H.),
Talia Coryat (Orlando, Fla.)
Andrea Fievre (Snellville, Ga.)
Skylar Jennings (Philadelphia),
Madison Joines (Winston-Salem, N.C.) and
Rania Jones (Alexandria, Va.). To be eligible for the academic honor roll, student-athletes must be a junior, senior or graduate student with a 3.50 GPA or better.
The IWLCA honored 1,013 student-athletes from 106 different institutions on the 2022 IWLCA Division I Academic Honor Roll.
Howard wrapped up its first season under head coach
Karen Healy-Silcott and looks to build on this year as they continue their pursuit of a NEC Championship.
