BLOOMINGTON, Ind. (May 27, 2022) – Howard University graduate
Dylan Beard (Severn, Md.) fell just short of punching his ticket to Eugene in the NCAA East Preliminary Quarterfinal Round at the Robert C. Haugh Track & Field Complex in Bloomington, Ind., on the campus of Indiana University.
Beard posted a 14.03 time in Friday's 110-meter hurdles race, which placed him 20
th overall. He needed to finish in the top 12 to advance to Eugene.
The Maryland native had an outstanding season with the Bison, winning the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Outdoor 110-meter hurdles title.
Florida State's Trey Cunningham had the top time, producing a new facility record of 13.07.
Howard women competed Saturday (May 28) to conclude the weekend. Saturday's action begins with the 4x100 relays, starting at 5 p.m.
