BLOOMINGTON, Ind. (May 27, 2022) – Howard University graduate Dylan Beard (Severn, Md.) fell just short of punching his ticket to Eugene in the NCAA East Preliminary Quarterfinal Round at the Robert C. Haugh Track & Field Complex in Bloomington, Ind., on the campus of Indiana University.
 
Beard posted a 14.03 time in Friday's 110-meter hurdles race, which placed him 20^th overall. He needed to finish in the top 12 to advance to Eugene.
 
The Maryland native had an outstanding season with the Bison, winning the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Outdoor 110-meter hurdles title.
 
Florida State's Trey Cunningham had the top time, producing a new facility record of 13.07.
 
Howard women competed Saturday (May 28) to conclude the weekend. Saturday's action begins with the 4x100 relays, starting at 5 p.m.
