HOWARD

Howard (29-22, 17-4 MEAC) enters the tournament as the No. 2 seed with this season's MEAC record being the best finish since winning back-to-back MEAC Northern Division titles (2009 & 2010). HU is seeking its second MEAC title in program history, first since 2007.

Before the tournament, eight Bison earned MEAC postseason honors, led by senior Kalita Dennis (Elk Grove, Calif.) and freshman Lealani Ricks (Madera, Calif.) receiving All-MEAC First Team honors.

MORGAN STATE

Morgan State (31-13, 18-3 MEAC) looks to win back-to-back MEAC titles. This season, the Lady Bears set a new school record in wins (31) while currently riding a 16-game win streak, dating back to April 20.

In the two tournament games, MSU has tallied 40 runs.

MEAC Pitcher of the Year Anaya Hunte leads the Lady Bears' pitching staff with a 19-3 mark on the season.

LAST TIMEOUT

Friday (May 13), freshman outfielder Payton Quinonez (Tulare, Calif.) delivered arguably one of her biggest hits in her young Bison career, sending HU to the MEAC Title Game with a walk-off RBI-single against rival No. 3 Norfolk State, 8-7, at NSU Softball Field.
