WASHINGTON (February 6, 2022) – Howard University men's basketball team hits the road for another Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) showdown in Dover, Del., against Delaware State (DSU). Tipoff is slated for 7:30 p.m. inside Memorial Hall.

All spectators will be required to show proof of a negative COVID PCR test result administered within three days of the games they plan to attend. Also, all spectators will be required to wear masks at all times. Failure to comply could result in removal from the facility.

HU (9-10, 3-3 MEAC) seeks to get over .500 in conference play for the first time this season.
Offensively, Howard tops the league in scoring (77.4 points per game) while ranking 10
th in the country with 17.7 forced turnovers per game.
Graduate sharpshooter
Kyle Foster (Hampton, Va.) leads the nation in three-point field goal percentage (50-percent) while needing only 95 points to join the 1,000-point club.
Nationally, six-time MEAC Rookie of the Week
Elijah Hawkins (Washington) sits top 15 in two categories: steals per game (2.4/8
th) and assists per game (5.9/15
th).
Redshirt sophomore
Steve Settle, III (Glenarden, Md.) leads the MEAC in field goal percentage (51-percent) while graduate forward
Randall Brumant (Houston) anchors the Bison defense, ranking third overall in blocks per game (1.3).
DELAWARE STATE
DSU (2-15, 0-5 MEAC) looks for its first conference win of the year under first-year head coach Stan Waterman.
Delaware State leads the league in blocks per game (4.4), led by Christopher Sodom. The 7-foot-3 center tops the MEAC with 2.44 blocks per game, which ranks top 30 in the nation.
Offensively, Myles Carter and Dominik Fragala lead the Hornets, combining for nearly 28 points per game.
LAST TIMEOUT
Saturday (Feb. 5), Howard defeated the Maryland Eastern Shore Hawks, 72-64, inside Burr Gymnasium.
Foster led all scorers with 20 points on 7-of-13 shooting from the floor, including 4-of-9 from downtown.
UPCOMING SCHEDULE
Tuesday (Feb. 8), Howard plays Gallaudet in their final nonconference game of the season. Game-time is scheduled for 6 p.m. inside The Burr.
