GENEVA, Ohio (February 25, 2022) – Howard University women's swimming and diving team remains in the seventh place at the Northeast Conference (NEC) Championships in Geneva, Ohio.
Currently, HU has racked up 193 points in four days with only day left.
Senior
India Jackson (Philadelphia), junior
Courtney Connolly (White Lake, Mich.), sophomore
Isabella Fountain (White Plains, N.Y.) and freshman
Jorden Hill (Birmingham, Ala.) competed in the 400 Medley Relay where they placed sixth overall with a 3:53.41 mark. For their efforts, they sit second all-time in school history.
Hill and Connolly took part in the 100 Back, finishing with times of 57.82 and 58.06, respectively. As of today, the two Bison rank third and fifth all-time in program history, respectively.
In the 100 Breast, Jackson, newcomer
Zaylie-Elizabeth Thompson (Nassau, Bahamas) and sophomore
Michaela Spears (Chicago) recorded the second (1:05.24), third (1:05.42) and fourth (1:05.62) fastest times in school history, respectively.
Second-year Bison
Alana Josey (York, Pa.) competed in the 200 Fly, clocking in at 2:09.43. For her efforts, the Pennsylvania native ranks third all-time in program history.
The NEC Championships concludes Saturday (Feb. 26) in Geneva, Ohio.
